Aira Mae T. Gavan, or simply Airi, is a second-year Master of Environmental Management student following a specialization in People, Equity, and the Environment and Environmental Policy Analysis. Airi is from the Philippines. She has worked in the Department of Environment and Natural Resources, focusing on People’s Organizations and Community-Based Forest Management Agreements. She is interested in social forestry in the Southeast Asian region and is building expertise in tropical forest landscape conservation through agroforestry, non-timber forest products, gender justice, and social entrepreneurship.
