Asnakech Jabo is a second year Master of Forestry (MF’26) candidate at the Yale School of the Environment and a Three Cairns Scholar. She holds a B.S in Environmental Sciences from Haramaya University, Ethiopia. Prior to Yale, Asnakech worked with the Ethiopian Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and Environment and Forest Research Institute (EEFRI), where she supported projects in forest carbon stock assessment, biodiversity monitoring, forest inventory, community- based forest restoration and Environmental impact assessment.

At Yale, Asnakech is advancing her expertise in temperate forest restoration, urban forestry and sustainability. She aims to contribute to climate-resilient ecosystem conservation.
