Bishwabandhu Acharya is a second year Master of Forest Science (MFS) candidate at the Yale School of the Environment. His research focuses on the effects of landscape changes, disturbances, and silvicultural interventions on forest regeneration dynamics. Previously, he has worked with different governmental and non-governmental organization to investigate the influence of various silvicultural practices on regeneration and forest health within community-based forest management systems in Nepal. Currently, his work examines the structural and compositional dynamics of forest regrowth on abandoned agricultural land, aiming to advance sustainable forest management and nature-based climate solutions.
