Odatha is a second year MFS student at YSE advised by Prof. Mark Ashton. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Botany from the Open University of Sri Lanka where, he also worked as a teaching fellow. Odatha also worked as part of the Biodiversity Unit in IUCN, Sri Lanka. At Yale, his research explores the variations of edaphic properties of secondary forest fragments within Eucalyptus plantation landscapes in Bahia, Brazil. His work particularly explores these variations in relation to the edge effect and the age of the surrounding plantations within which these forest fragments are found.
