Rinchui Raman, a second-year Master of Environmental Management (MEM ‘25) candidate, is dedicated to exploring the responses and contributions of indigenous communities in addressing climate change, biodiversity, and conservation challenges. With 8 years of professional experience, she has collaborated with diverse indigenous and marginalized communities in North-East and Central India. Her impactful roles have focused on mitigating the effects of climate change, addressing developmental gaps, and combating environmental degradation. She has engaged in initiatives promoting alternative livelihoods, climate justice, gender inclusivity, and innovative land reclamation methods for biodiversity conservation, while also extensively promoting the cultivation of native crops. Additionally, she co-founded the ISTF 2023 Innovation Prize-winning project, Rainforest Biodiversity of Phalee, India. Rinchui aims to deepen her expertise at the intersection of sustainable food systems and environmental justice, making a meaningful contribution to sustainable development
