To celebrate the 25th anniversary, this year’s ISTF conference is holding a photo competition on the theme: “Examining Tropical Changes: Resilience in the Context of Disturbance and Transgression”. We invite all conference participants and Yale students to submit their best photos related to the theme. Photos can portray landscapes, wildlife, people or events reflecting perspectives of environmental resilience and disturbances in the tropics. Based on creativity, photo quality and relevance, 20 finalists will be selected by the organizers, and will be displayed at the conference for open voting. Cash prizes will be awarded to the top-voted student and conference participant entries at the conference’s closing ceremony.
To enter, please submit up to 3 photo entries per applicant to istf@yale.edu with the title “25th ISTF Conference Photo Competition - [last name]” by Friday, January 25th, 2019 [EST]. Captions of no more than 30 words may be included for each photo. Please also ensure that you own the copyright for all entries you submitted. By entering the competition, participants agree to grant permission for ISTF to use their work with name credit for future conference promotional materials.
